I have heard lately of transcendental meditation as a therapy for bipolar. Has anyone heard of this and is it just another Hokey thing that doesn't really work. My family member is on a program with medication and therapy and of course is always concerned about the meds he takes. Please comment and thank you.

I believe that it helps. You can do a search on the web and it will show that meditation helps with depression. So does yoga and any form of exercise. It's getting the motivation to do it, which can be really hard when you are depressed. Also, I keep reading about the benefits of taking an Omega supplement. You can check it out online as well. My pdoc has me taking one and I think it helps along with my other meds.
