An Unquiet Mind was a great read...just imagine what you can undertake and accomplish while you are dogged by the hounds of hell! I read a great quote today reflective of the torment BPs endure and the need for optimism: "When one door opens, another closes...but the time in the hallway is hell."

" An Unquite Mind" was the first book I read after my diagnosis. I loved it!! My sister in law and my sister both read the book and it put a lot of things in perspective for them. I am looking foward to chatting with my fellow Canadians about bipolar and to know that I am not alone in this.

I have just finished "An Unquiet Mind". It was a fantastic read. It will be a helpful tool in educating others concerning this illness.

Read "An Unquiet Mind" if you can. It's an excellent book that chronicles the author's struggle with bipolar and how she has managed. I'd read it years ago and then it was assigned for a paper in my Abnormal Psych class. It really helped my husband understand the illness better.

Hello to my new Bipolar Brother/Sisters. I am from Winnipeg and have just been diagnosed two months ago after a psychotic episode. I have been learning everything I can about this illness and would like to hear what you Bipolar vets have to say. I have been responding very well to my meds and I am keeping a positive outlook. I look forward to communicating with you all.

Thanks Dave

Originally Ottawa, currently Regina. I've been here about 16 years, coincides with my dx. Even so, I had years of symptoms prior to that. I've been in and out of psychiatric help for 25 years at least.
