there are no rules.

the meds have sapped a good deal of my creativity. so when i squeeze something out (rare), and i like it (PFFT!), i like sharing it with people. thats where you guys come in :-)

so i formally ask you to let me see your work.

rules:
if you cant say anything nice.....

if you actually WANT criticism, you must actually ASK.

post your endeavors in the discussion forum. comments should be random conversations.

if you believe your composition could be a trigger, please put the word "trigger" in the title.

despite the rules (i hate rules, as a rule- ha ha) HAVE FUN!!!

I'm curious about peopls creative writing styles and used to go to alot of book signings for the mystery writers in the Seattle area. I was always intrigued by the creative process of how they worked out their story lines. Some would write outlines and plan out every detail up front and some decided what would happen as they wrote the book. One author claimed that the characters would tell her who did it.
So I'm wondering if the authors here plan everything out in advance or figure it out as you write or are you somewhere in between? I'm just wondering if being bipolar affects not only that we are creative but some of the processes by which we are creative. I'm not really sure of other ways to compare. Just curious.

Yikes, I'm scared! My creativity has been channeled into my first book, which I've been working on now for three years, and yesterday afternoon, I sent the final version to the publisher. So now it can no longer be the first place to turn as a creative outlet. What will I do instead? I suppose I'll have to write another :)

Back when I was working one of my co-worker used to tell me that he thought that I was crazy and that I should get a psychiatric disability. That was before my bp dx so I thought it was funny. I'm not quite as ecentric anymore but I don't think it is because of people like him but I'm not completely sure. It's not funny anymore to have someone say that I'm crazy. But I think that is where the I can pass for normal thoughts come from. I found a book with the title Everybody's normal til you get to know them. It says when you get close enough you find that no one is normal - there is no such thing. So I changed my facebook page picture to the sameone as this one with my cat and I've posted on some peoples boards as though it was my cat posting (afterall, she is looking at the computer screen in the picture and sitting on my shoulder giving me directions) which is the type of thing that got me called crazy before. I'm trying to learn that it was one person and not to worry about it and be myself.

Deb,
I'm interested in what you are going to put on your page for I don't look craze. The phrase "I can pass for normal" pops into my head alot. I sounds like it is the same concept as what you are thinking. I have to keep reminding myself that there is no such thing as normal. If you look close enough everyone is a bit abnormal.
