Hi,
I am a member of a very active DBSA (Depression & Bipolar Alliance) support group here. It is enormously helpful. Many of the 'rules' that are read at the beginning of each meeting are similar in nature to those of AA, especially confidentiality…
Ha I am the facilitator of a bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression support group in Melbourne, Australia.
I reckon it's great. We meet monthly, you can check out my meetup.com website at www.meetup.com/BADsupportgroup

I wonder what would happen if support groups were harder to find ... you had to call in advance to get the location? That might make it easier for people with jobs to feel safe. I just know I've been to every support group in our metro area (with 2…

I am a facilitator by fault, however I have had some corporate experience in running meetings that has come in handy. We have less structure than normal and is more of a discussion group... we free flow ideas and turns at bat. Discuss articles, like…
I facilitate (along with others) an NAMI Connection support group in Kokomo, IN. I am also a trainer for NAMI connection facilitators (just finished a training in Indianapolis).
Needless to say, I'm a believer in support groups.
I've gotten a *lot…
I facilitate an Online support group for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. We routinely have a full house (12 participants) and have meetings nearly every day of the week. It is also my goal to start a face-to-face meeting in our area, it…
